moisture settings do not work. we always use one setting. time dry. the end of cycle alarm is annoying and can't be turned off. 6 months in it developed a rattle/grind noise intermittently coming from the bottom left side. the warranty company contracted by samsung told me aggressively that the dryer had physical damage and won't be covered yet he could not show me the actual damage. no dents, scratches, etc... and how rude is that warranty center when you call. terrible experience!

I purchased this dryer approximately a month after I had to replace my 17 year old washing machine. I decided to get this dryer so that it would match my new washer. I wasn't sure I would use all of the features that came on this unit. Was I ever wrong, I think I have now used almost every setting on this unit now. Some times out of necessity and honestly to see the results of what it could do. I could not be happier with this unit and I don't think that anyone trying to decide would be disappointed with this purchase.

the dryer is working great. i found out the hard way that everything needed to use the steam sanitize+ function is not supplied by samsung. per the owner's manual, i found out that samsung supplies 1 hose and 1 "y" connector. to use the steam sanitize+ features on this dryer, you need 2 hoses and 1 "y" connector along with the cold water line. i also found out by reading the owner's manual that canadian models of this same exact dryer are supplied with the 2 hoses and the 1 "y" connector needed to use the steam sanitize+ feature. my question to samsung is why supply the needed parts to use the steam sanitize+ feature to canada and not for customers in america? to close, samsung needs to supply the 2 hoses and "y" connector on the american models. you listening samsung?

i purchased this (washer&dryer) combo back in april 2019. everyone told me to get samsung, well its ok, but dont get a "sensor" if your vents go up and out the roof. the lint filer broke within 6months. customer service wanted $320 up front before they even looked at the dryer (if they did a service call) they couldn't just talk to me over the phone. sensor will shut off your dryer if you have reached maximum times. of course the warranty expired 2 months before everything starts "falling apart".

if the cloths are dried on any setting other than time dry they come out with damp spots. eco dry makes it even worse. drier is installed properly with proper vent spacing and duct is new and clear. i read another review of someone with the same complaint, and samsung sent them a link basically saying it was their error. this is not true. this dryer is not worth the price since the technology associated with it does not work properly. i wish i would have just bought a regular time dryer for half the price because thats all this one is good for.

We love our dryer. The steam feature makes my life exponentially better. The controls are easy and the WiFi is a huge convenience with knowing when the cycles are complete. once again, the drum capacity is very generous. I can easily fit two loads of laundry in the dryer If I need to. It is very, very quiet and I love the Wi-Fi notifications sent to my phone and the ability to operate the dryer using my phone. I also love the sanitize functions on both the washer and dryer and how perfectly the dryer dries all the clothes the first time. my only complaint with the washer is that every now and then a piece of clothing gets snagged on what I think is part of the lint trap which can ruin a delicate piece of clothing if you aren't careful. Maybe it sticks out a little or something but I'm sure it's probably just my dryer. Overall I again give Samsung a five-star rating. I would not trade this amazing dryer for another.

We love our new dryer. The options are amazing. The steam sanitize and refresh options really expand the features in the laundry world. Our only complaint is it appears the only way to reset the controls if you change the dryer function is to power off and power back on or complete the cycle. We love how it ties into the Samsung hub and the app to alert us so we can change over the laundry.

Who says you can't have your cake and eat it. This dryer, not only does it have sleek digital controls and buttons but has 12 drying cycles that can be adjusted to your individual needs. We all hate that clanking sound when you try to dry them sneakers, well with the drying rack you no longer have to. The safety feature like the vent sensor let you know when to clean your ductwork. We all hate ironing well say no more with the wrinkle prevent feature or the steam feature.

We purchased the new Samsung Dryer (DVE50R8500V) to complement its washing machine partner. This front loading dryer is quiet, efficient, and looks amazing in its black stainless steel. There are several different drying options based upon the load's content. Our experience in the short time that we have owned the dryer, is that the loads come out fresh and dry. The lighted, dryer drum is large and holds a vast amount of clothes. The dryer lint is captured and easily cleaned in an enclosed dryer lint compartment. The dryer connects via WiFi and is easily controlled by Samsung's SmartThings app. Notifications of the cycle completion appear on our phones and even on the television screen. This dryer is a great addition to our laundry room, and we look forward to many years of its outstanding performance.

Goodbye Wrinkles

What an absolute joy this new dryer is. There are so many options on our new dryer that we have barely scratched the surface but what we have used so far has been great. First off, the notifications on our phones or tv keeps us from missing when the load finishes. If things are a little wrinkled there is a wonderful setting that shoots a little steam into the drum and runs it for another 15 minutes. That removed almost all of the wrinkles that we got when we didn't get home in time to catch it when it finished. It normally senses when the moisture level gets low and then lowers the temp to do a cool-down tumble to further lessen the wrinkles.

So my dryer DVE50R8500V was delivered on Saturday. The delivery team was great. I had also purchased Samsung stands , and I recommend pairing the stand and dryer for the perfect height. I went through the requested "break in". I then did about 5 loads of laundry. I really liked the options available, and so far I am very pleased with the drying performace. My items came out clean and wrinkle free. The stands make it very easy to move wet items from the washer into the dryer. I really like that the doors are positioned so it is easy to put materials into the dryer. Not sure how I feel about the chimes when the load is done, but it is effective. Love the look of the unit, and it fit great in my area. I used the dryer refresh setting for some items that were left unfolded, and were wrinkled. I was pleased to see how nice they came out! More to come as I use more of the features. 9-27-2019: Update. So I have had a chance to use the dryer for a bit now. I really like the ease of use. The controls are east to understand, and work well. I was drying a comforter, and adding extra time was a simple one click on the screen. I used refresh, and it worked great on a shirt I forgot to iron. Best of all is the wrinkle free setting. I came back hours later, and was able to just hang the items without any wrinkles. I have used the steam setting. I noticed that there seemed to be no odor like there was in my old dryer. Slight difference, but seems more "sanitized". I think this setting also leaves clothing softer and wrinkle free, but I cannot tell you why. All in all. This is the best dryer that I have ever owned. Go get one!

Quietly keeping clothes dry!

Our previous Samsung front load dryer went on the fritz and would not produce any heat. So it was time for an upgrade and wanted top of the line of front loaders. All of our appliances are Samsung so naturally we went with Samsung again. The new dryer is much quieter and operates much smoother. It also does not shake at all even on the pedestal. Also like the Smart Control feature to control and view status of the cycle. We were missing that feature on the previous version. The only thing I have found is that clothes are still coming out a bit damp so not sure if I have the correct setting. I ended up turning off the ECO setting to ensure everything was getting dry. When I had towels with other clothes, the towel was still damp. So I will continue to adjust the settings to see if I am doing something wrong. Overall, still pleased with the dryer and its capabilities.

This is the most nicest washer i think ive had. The cycles are amazing i love i can use super speed and sanitize within an hour. It holds lots of clothes and i love i can go to town and use the app to start and pause the cycle so when i come home and it will let me know its down also the size of it is awesome i can throw a lot in and wash it all together which saves me time. The look of it is amazing sleek modern style. I love the self clean mode which uses alot more water than just regular washing which i was suprised by. Overall this washing machine is suberp there are so many cleaning options and super speed has been amazing to use as in little as 30 minutes the load is done. I love it.

This Samsung black stainless steel dryer is the best. Its quality is great, and it looks so stylish and trendy. It made my laundry room look so unique. This dryer has so many features which is displayed digitally and makes it very easy to operate. I love the fact that its child proof. You can lock it and the kids would not be able to play with it. You can control it with your phone. I stay in the living room and operate it or see how many mins is left for the cycle to be complete. the dryer is big that it can hold 2 loads and it takes little time for it to finish drying. It has a drum light that enables you see the clothes while they are drying . This dryer has a steam sanitizer feature that makes the clothes not to wrinkle. It has the feature that will tell when the clothes are dried, the filter it came with is a unique one that has lint.i love how I can see how many mins is left before it finish drying. When my husband told me about this new washer and dryer from Samsung I was very skeptical. I have always thought all washers and dryers were equal... until I met the new Samsung 7.5 cu.ft dryer. Besides the bells and whistles of the new wireless control technology, which my husband raves about, this machine is super efficient. Its large capacity is ideal for our growing family needs and make doing the laundry as easy as load, push play and go back to what I was doing. I enjoy having the steam and wrinkle free options especially the wrinkle free option as our clothes are kept ready to wear. Most important for our family is having the option to lock the doors and keypad as we have toddlers who will climb into it. This Dryer goes hand in hand with the Samsung Washer. If you dont have the option for both, the dryer is a must. It sanitizes your cloths but it also can steam your cloths for you. "Yes, Welcome to the future!" HANDS DOWN best for a quick steam and dry before work. Helps keeps things going with the kids. Super warm Super Fast. Can dry and heat up a blanket before bed around winter. Overall the build is amazing. The only upgrade request would be the legs for leveling. The dryer comes with plastic legs while washer has metal legs. It's very well built so do not think it will be a concern. I'd like the legs to extend atleast 1 centimetres more for leveling but all in all best product to have. The lint catcher comes double layered which is amazing how much it catches. Will have to see the longevity of the plastic double layer lint catcher. You pull it out and have to open it to grab the lint inside the square plastic peice. Over time and heat not sure the wear on it but Im very particular about design. The dryer plays song when done has light in door and comes with a shelf to attach in it. Absolutely sleek design and love the color. The steam option is my favorite and drys immediately. It makes my big blankets actually dry for the first time. No more waiting for dry blankets. My Husband and I love this dryer. This thing is beautiful. You wouldn't think a dryer could look nice, but the black stainless really pops and makes the room look that much better. There are so many settings to choose from that you can dry to your hearts content. It can dry anywhere from fast to slow for dedicates or bedding drying. It also has a sensor that knows how hot to make it so the clothes don't get overheated. The Steam Sanitize setting is pretty cool. It lets you steam your clothes and heats it to the point where it's sanitizing the clothes at the same time. The smart features are an added bonus. It's nice to get notifications when a load is done drying, so I don't forget to take the clothes out before they get wrinkled. It can also tell you how much time is left till the load is done as well. We are glad we made the purchase.

This is the best-looking dryer I have ever owned hands down. The black stainless is sleek looking and makes the laundry room look good. Our old dryer was plain looking and kinda boring, but it did have a lot of room for big loads. This was a concern of mine when switching from our old one however this dryer has more space than our old one. This one comes in at 7.5 cu. ft. so size is not a problem. There are many settings to choose from so you will always have options for the type of load you are doing. There is also a steam sanitize setting which is nice for a refresh of a shirt or two. This dryer is also quick to dry when needed and leaves the clothes wrinkle free when done. Now, if your buying this model you are probably looking for information on the smart features. The dryer is easy to hook up to WiFi and only takes about 1 minute to configure. After that, you will need the Samsung Smart Things app to take advantage of the smart features. From the app you can see current load time remaining and estimated finish time. When Smart Control is turned on you can adjust Dry level, temp, dry time, damp alert, wrinkle prevent and more. You can also cancel, pause and resume the load in real time. You will also get notifications when your load is finished if you want which is nice, so you don't leave your clothes to get wrinkled. The dryer also has a sensor in it that can read moisture level and adjust the heat level so you aren't over drying your clothes. There is also a laundry recipe part to the app where you can pick what you are drying, and it will tell you what settings to pick for best results. This is an awesome dryer and we are glad we got it.

This dryer looks great and performs better. I am loving the design of the lint holder. It makes it easy to get all the lint out. The dryer plays a tune (which you can also shut off) which motivates you once the clothes are dry to come fold them. If you don't have time to fold them right then, that's OK too. There is a wrinkle prevent option on the dryer. You can fold them later. I love the option of throwing my large comforter into the dryer. Press bedding option. It actually dries! With the multi steam moisture sensor, it continues to dry your clothes when needed. No more damp clothes! One day I went to wear my jacket and realized I was around a camp fire the night before. Quick throw in the dryer on steam sanitize. Good as new! I am super impressed! Loving my new samsung dryer!

The samsung black stainless steel dryer is amazing and magical. The quality is great,its very stylish and trendy. It has upgraded the look of my laundry room. I love the digital features on the dryer, and its display as well. Its so awesome how we could ise bixby withit,and also how we could connect it to wifi and smart control it. I love the interior, it has light and its interior is made with stainless steel drum. The light makes it look beautiful when our clothes are drying. It contains more loads of clothe than the regular dryer. I could stay in the living room or my bedroom and control the dryer. This dryer has a cent indicator and filter indicator as well. It team sanitizes and the door can be reversed based on how your laundry is laid out. We had ours on the right side,making it easy to open the door from left to right. The first loads was very quick to dry,we didnt have to wait forever to have the clothes dried. It has a sensor dry feature and sings when the the cycle is complete. We love this dryer,and will highly recommend it to all families.

AWESOME Dryer! Let me be the first to tell you IRONING is from the 50's. Do you like to Iron? I know, me neither. SO let me intro you do this Samsung dryer! I was so excited to review this, the Steam Dry works WONDERS! Remember that hack your mom gave you, wet a clean towel, throw it in with a wrinkly pair of pants? Well lo and behold you do NOT have to do that anymore with this dryer! I have to mention this feature first as it is my fav! The other features are great too, this dries clothes at super sonic speed, and is adjustable of course based on how heavy or thick of a lod it is! I also love the refresh feature on this machine. Have a clean shirt, but just need it touched up a bit? The refresh feature is for you! Come down with a not so fresh smelling shirt but need it to go out? Pop it in, hit the refresh button an Voila! Not only does it smell like it just came out of the dryer, it looks like someone took time to press it too! Bixby is great on this machine as well. Wondering how long before you can take out that cheer uniform your child needs for practice but out of the house? Look at your app and it will tell you! I also love the wrinkle prevent cycle so that you can just pop your wrinkel prone clothes out and hang them up on a hanger, and fugeddaboutit! This machine is also super quiet! Now I can actually have a phone conversation without my dryer drowning me out in the backgroud! This is also a sleek looking machine! Blends in with any laundry decor (even basket full of dirty laundry!). You can also fit Charlie and his Chocolate Factory in this machine, it's HUGE on Capacity! I love the fact I can stuff an entire King Comfortor in there, and still squeeze in a few hand towels to boot! No more lugging your big items to the laundry mat! Put it in here and be amazed at how it comes out! Samsung has made a great looking, fast-drying, machine, and HEY! Throw out that ironing board Moma! You now have a robot that will press and sing you a great tune when those wrinkly pants are don!

Fast and Quiet

This dryer has blown my expectations away. There are so many features I have been loving about this dryer and upgrading from my older appliance. First, the smart feature is probably one of my favorites. I love that I can keep an eye on my laundry while doing other tasks around the house. It will notify my when the cycle is complete and I can then change out the clothes. I really love the steam feature on both the washer and dryer. I use it more with the dryer but for my husbands work clothes this steam feature has come in handy to ensure his pants come out wrinkle free. It is quiet. I rarely can hear the machine working. There are many different cycle feature options you can choose from to ensure you are selecting the best option to find optimal drying. The overall size capacity of the dryer is fantastic. It will dry my comforters just fine no issues. I also love the large size of the lint holder.

One Hot Dryer!

This dryer is hot! No matter what we load in it, the clothes come out dry at the end of the cycle. We have the dryer on the optional Samsung base and that helps with loading and unloading the front loading dryer. There is a large drum that is lighted. The lint collector is large and enclosed, so no loose lint escapes through the vent. There are several different cycle options, and there's even a steam option that keeps clothes fresh. Alerts occur on our phone when the drying cycle is complete, which helps with prompt removal of the clothes. We can't be happier with our new Samsung dryer. It looks amazing, but more importantly, it efficiently and effectively gets our clothes dry!

This has been an amazing super fast washer for our family. We have been using the super speed all the time on it. It's large capacity is a must for our family but now we use it so much that we actually are able to not have so many large loads any more which she loves haha. It does great on getting the clothes clean from bondo dust on clothes and grass stains which i didnt think it would get out so overall were pleased. We love the fact we can set this washer to how long we need it to wash and we love the santize feature alot. The app has so many features that i dont know how we even got by without it now

Never so easy

received new Samsung dryer about 3 weeks now doing laundry such a breeze no real setting to do just select whats you want and machine automatically drys and no over drying heats not to hot to shrink clothes and don't seem to come out all wrinkled I do have to say a little more high tech than I'm use to the fact you can operate the dryer from your cell phone blows my mind just got my first new smart phone so learning new phone and new dryer all at the same time one thing though the dryer is much easier then phone and the dryer is doing something useful I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking to up grade looking forward to see what else this machine can do

NGD or Next Generation Dryer

Typically clothes dryers do not fill me with excitement but this guy is pretty amazing! First off the capacity is large and even if filled up the dryer handles the task with ease and is fast and pretty quiet about it as well. We got the side venting kit which allows you to vent the dryer direct our the side of the unit, which was superb as we have it on the second floor in a smaller laundry and it sits next to the wall so the venting is a straight shot and is pretty much hidden, plus it is able sit right back close to the wall because the vent comes out the side. Being able to dial in all the nuances of what you are drying quickly and accurately with your phone is way cooler than you think. I was always cautious about the dryer ruining more delicate or unique clothes because the controls on typical dryers are so basic. With the Samsung I can tune the dryer to exactly how i want it to handle the load. The Bixby setup allows you to voice control the dryer which we haven't really gotten into yet, or the SmartThings option to connect and control over WiFi but I think that going to be pretty cool when we get to it. It looks pretty simple to configure. The drying rack that comes with the un it is great for pullovers or wool garments and the Steam Sanitize and Refresh cycles are awesome for quickly spritzing something that has been stored away for winter etc. You can download more cycles from Samsung if you need something special. We are really impressed with the build quality and overall thought and workmanship that has gone into the dryer. It has clearly been well thought out by smart people who really get laundry appliances. Double thumbs up!!!
