fell in love with it in the store. i think it may have been a floor model. i have another samsung in the master bedroom, a vizio in the guest room that i've been having for over 10 years, a roku tv on the patio thats covered but was exposed to iclement weather. this is the biggest and only tv that constantly gives me problems. all the others ones are oerfect! no issues! usually don't leave reviews but man this is a problem. beautifully mounted on top of my mantle but it turns off randomly at times and it has been more of a hassle than anything. ive tried cutting the tv on and off, unplugging, resetting, i now have a warranty repair on the way. just cuts off in the middle of a ball game for no reason. it actually cut off as im writing this review.

Tizen OS quit after exactly 1 year

ordered this unit november 18 2020 to replace a q70r with noticeable dirt behind the main glass, and after the warranty expired in sept 2021 the os quit working nov 20 2021. now i can't access menus or even control volume with the tv remote or hard keys. this tv was the centerpiece of my living room kept dust free at 70 degrees fahrenheit on an uninterruptible power supply and it just quit. if this is samsung's flagship tv then this is a sad display of quality. samsung lost another customer, two tv's in a row within a year is where i draw the line.

picture not nearly as nice as my also new lg. i'm just not seeing the 4k qled hype. of course, that's when the tv is "on", as it shuts off on its own, about every 10 minutes. this is evidently a samsung issue because there's a separate troubleshooting guide for it. unbelievable to spend that kind of money for such poor performance.

i have been researching tvs and was down to 2 the lg oled and this qled. i made the right choice , this picture is fantastic , also the anti reflective finish is a great plus. on our last tv we would have to turn off the lights to get a good picture also due to light reflecting off screen. the samsung ,nope looks great no matter what lights are on. the colors and clarity are fantastic we also purchased the q950t sound bar now we have a nice movie theater in our living room. i am very happy with purchase and samsung customer support has been great. if you are on the fence, think about the lighting in the room you will be placing this.

Fun while it lasted

the picture was nothing short of perfection. less than 1 month of owning the tv, it powered off by itself and would not power back on. samsung authorized service tech replaced the power supply. powered tv back on only to discover that the panel was now bad as well. samsung tech said, "i've never seen a panel display that way". now i must wait another couple of days for the panel to be replaced. extremely disappointed in the length of time that the tv lasted. not even a month and 2 major components fail. considering that this is a high-end tv, i am also disappointed that samsung doesn't have a faster diagnose and repair time option. waited 4 days for tech to diagnose, another 3 days for the power supply to be replaced, and now at least another 1-2 days for the panel.

Great TV....but

love the features of tv....has all that i wanted....but the biggest issue that's killing this tv is the reflection of any light on the screen. this was supposed to have an antiglare screen, and i can view the screen from any angle. the problem is that if there is any light source in the room - you see a rainbow line that depicts the lighting source. this is very distracting. basically, this tv is excellent if you only watch it in a dark room with no lights.

sound is my main challenge. the q90t has only an optical output, no head phone jack. i have a bluetooth unit that is paired the my hearing aides but can't use it. tv will not connect to hearing aides, per the technician. the the sync between audio and video is always off (video slower), and while the lag varies it is never spot on like my 11 year old non-smart samsung, and i connected wirelessly with the roku stick. can anyone help with these issues?

Round Images in Grey Scale Test and on TV

i bought a 75 inch q90t. the problem is that during the grey scale test, i could see two small slightly darker off-colored round images, like dots. they are a constant. and, it shows clearly during a 5% and 10% grey uniformity test. so, on a background which is pure white, i notice it. i took several photos of it with my samsung s9 phone. and, yes, you can see it. samsung - please respond. i need your help here.

i was considering this tv vs. oled and so glad i went with the samsung. setup is a breeze and everything just works. picture quality is amazing. tv get bright for daytime viewing and film maker is wonderful for nighttime. i was so surprised how fast the user interface, its very snappy.i was worried about the remote being overly simplistic but it works so elegantly for all my devices. the sound quality is pretty good for tv speakers but not as immersive or punchy as a dedicated system, but great for tv speakers.

Only quirks I have noticed are the back and forth as the TV goes into Game Mode when using an Xbox. As you enter a game the game mode turns on and off a couple times before it will stay on for the duration of the game being played. Also would be nice to have an improved "App Store" as it took several attempts to get apps to download/install" Performance of TV has been great and will adjust to the thresholds of the content you input.

My new Q90T was easy to set up. (Get some help if you are doing it yourself though. It is definitely a 2-person job due to the size and weight of the unit.) That done, the picture quality is just outstanding--bright, sharp and clear with good color saturation. (I get the best result with the "natural" picture mode selected.) With a unit this size, I was a little concerned about possible pixelation. I need not have been. There is zero "window screen" effect. I'm really pleased.

After purchasing this tv. I will say it has an awesome picture. Very clear and the wide angle viewing give my whole front room a great picture. After purchasing this tv i learned that samsung actually downgraded their flagship 90 series from 2019 to 2020. A lot of this is due to the 8k series they are pushing.

We selected the Q9 because we wanted the best available. As we all know, manufacturers come out with newer, bigger and better every year. The Q9 series doesn't disappoint. We bought the second largest available (75") Without being too technical, the picture is superb. We love the easy access to the numerous apps that are available. And having just 1 thin cord drop down from the frame to it's brain center receiver provides you the option to drop just one cord down the inside of the wall for super clean mounting. I suggest that you also purchase the 'no gap wall mount. This huge 75" screen truly becomes a seamless part of your wall. I cannot comment on the sound because we only use the optional Samsung Harmon Kardon sound bar for superb Dolby Atmosphere sound. Overall, I'm happy enough to buy a second premium Samsung model to replace the LG that is currently in our bedroom.

I have been blown away from day 1 with this TV! Before this TV I had a UN55N TV, and it was night and day with the Q9. The color settings are so clear that watching movies make me feel like I'm there actually in the movie, meanwhile watching NFL is so clear that I feel like I'm at the stadium. I highly recommend this TV to anyone that is in need of a new TV or wants to upgrade.

A true viewing experience

What a great television. I'll actually give it a 4.8 rating, which I'll explain later. This television has one of the best pictures that I've viewed. OLED might be just a little better, but you have to worry about burn in. We have yet to tweak the picture settings, as right out of the box with the ECO sensor mode on, the picture looks great in both a bright and dark room. Colors are vivid and look exactly as they should and the HD upscaling really works well. Controls are easy to use and the there are plenty of apps available. You'll need a soundbar to match the great picture and you'll want a Samsung model to take advantage of the Q Symphony function, which combines the tv speakers with the soundbar. Ask your salesperson which models are available. We went with a Samsung HW-Q950T. Wow! It makes you feel like you're in the middle of the action. Oh, and the reason for the .2 deduction: While the reflections are handled pretty well, I think they could be taken care of just a little better. My suggestion would be to hang the television and make sure that the mounting bracket has a good tilt function and will expand from the wall 6 to 8 inches, which will also help when you need to get behind this 75" monster. After a bit of tweaking we were able to get the correct angle and distance from the wall to take care of those reflections. Overall though, a great Samsung offering.

I have owned five Samsung flat-screen televisions over the last eight years. This TV is far and away the finest TV I have had. It provides an unparalleled viewing experience and a surprisingly excellent sound quality across the full sound spectrum for casual viewing and listening. When watching a movie in 4k with high dynamic range attributes, the image is astonishingly good. One easily gets immersed in the movie or sporting event. Third samsung purchase

I bought an UHD 50" back in 2015 and fell in love with it. Then upgraded to the amazing Q80 65" in 2018. Now we bought the Q90 for our media room and are absolutely blown away. The anti glare technology is amazing. Picture quality is amazing. And gaming on it is phenomenal. It's also 2.1 HDMI ready for next gen consoles.

Great tv with some issues that keeps getting worse

this tv can produce an amazing pictures....but 6months in it just gets buggier and buggier...like screen freezes, selection delay repsonse, random picture quality issues, lip syncing issues, switing from antenna to other inputs from the home screen at this rate im getting concerned about my purchase. alot of it stems from os as a reboot(turning the main power off) helps most to some of the times.

the picture is amazing! we have multiple windows that would reflect the light into our former tv and we would have to move the position of the tv. this set does not show any reflections! we watch lots of sports, football, baseball, etc. you feel like you are right there in person! we can see the blades of grass!! we highly recommend this tv!

You have to see it with your own eyes. The picture quality is stunning. No detail goes unseen. The black is perfect and the colors are rich and vibrant. Easy to navigate through the menus and setup was quick. I ran an ethernet cable to the tv and was quick to connect with apps . As far as sound goes it feels multi dimensional. Feature Rich and Intuitive Experience

From receiving my 75" Q90T and unboxing this massive and beautiful work of art I could tell this TV was going to be a quality piece. The stand has a lot of weight to it which showed me it was going to be sturdy. The screen itself has multiple layers of protection to keep the corners and edges safe. After we had setup the Q90T I had finally peeled off the plastic from the screen to remove all the finger prints and we were all in awe of how beautiful it looked in my living room. First use we had imported all of my settings from my last Samsung TV and setup was easy with the SmartThings app from my phone. The Samsung Tizen OS in my opinion is the cleanest and intuitive of all the smart TVs. Hitting the home button and scrolling through the apps from where I have placed them in the order I prefer instead of going through multiple pages makes it so easy and enjoyable. The Q90T has everything I could want from a TV. It has E-ARC and HDMI 2.1. Two features I'm unable to use do to not having the equipment to use it but when the PS5 comes out and starts support for 2.1 I'll have it. The remote is simple and easy to use with all the functionality I need alongside using the SmartThings app for more complex inputs. The HDR picture is bright and and amazing. So much brighter than an OLED panel and with no worries of burn in. Overall I enjoy the Q90T and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a high quality and immersive gaming or movie watching experience.

This TV had a strong backlight and works well for brightly lit rooms. The picture detail at 4k fantastic. The contrast and black levels while not as great as an oled are none the less impressive for a led TV. The built in apps are fantastic and I definitely don't need my chromecast anymore with this set. The remote is nice though the voice control only works once the TV is on, wish I could give it the command to turn my TV and accessories on in the first place. I'm looking forward to watching this year for a long time in the future.

Let's start with picture: it's fantastic. If OLED blacks are 100% awesome, then I consider my QLED to be about 95% in a side by side comparison. Given the Q90T can be had between $500-700 cheaper than a 77" LG OLED, I consider them about even. So what makes the QLED Samsung better? First, you can burn in OLEDs. Second, the LG magic wand and UI are terrible. Last, the performance difference between Samsung QLED and Sony/LG OLEDs of similar size isn't enough to justify the increase in price. As per picture quality, good 4K is spectacular; HDR material is amazing. The Q90T even does a great job at upscaling hidef material. I feel it comes a little short of it's peers in this regard, but not enough to justify the jump in price. Overall, I've been very happy with this purchase. Quite simply, it's spectacular; one of the rare purchase of which I have zero buyer remorse.

This Tv is perfect for a bright room, OLEDs can not touch it. Its blacks are as close to an OLED in it reproduction of blacks but way, way, brighter and no worries of burn in, ever. Off angle is amazing for a non-OLED but its color and brightness still keep that super close too. There is never a perfect TV, but for a bright room this is not even close.

Picture is excellent. We transferred our sound bar from our old TV. It worked great for about a week. We tried another sound bar and it did not work. Samsung sent a technician to our house to fix the problem. He changed a module and it did not work. He stated he had been at my house for two hours and could not fix the problem. He suggested we purchase a Samsung sound bar. We connected it using the optical cable and it worked great for about a week. We then tried the Bluetooth setting and it worked great for about two weeks which is the same time I received this email survey. I have tried unplugging the sound bar and waiting for three minutes and plugging it back in. It still does not work. The TV speakers still work. Not the best sound quality. Will call Samsung when I have a spare two or three hours. Overall it is a good TV with excellent features. I would have rated five stars if it didn't have the sound problem.

Couldn't wait to get this tv out of the box which turned out to be really easy. Of course, because of it's size and safety concerns, it took two of us. Once we had the stand on and the set in place, we began connecting the external devices which was a breeze. Now, the climatic moment of anticipation had arrived... power on! We were in jaw-breaking awe and totally consumed by the sheer beauty which sat before us. Seemed as though it took every ounce of my energy not to mention the use of several thousand brain cells to convience myself that what was running through my mind was quite impossible... NO dude, you can't step into the screen! Well, at least not YET!! We ended staying up 'til the wee hours of morning playing with every function we could find. That was just about two months ago and I'm still completely blown away everytime I press the power button!!

As others have mentioned the picture is great, assuming you are starting with a 1080p or higher from your input source. Anything less and you can tell, especially action scenes. It would be nice if the Samsung TV app was full 4K. There is only (1) 4K HDMI port, but with the lack of 4K devices, that is not a big deal. The model year before this one had a on connect box which would have been great on this TV; I am most disappointed about this. The remote control is nice and it easily linked to all my devices to include my Bose sound bar. There is a annoying high pitched noise that happens sometimes when adjusting the volume, but if I mute it and unmute it, then it stops. Sometimes the controls lag a bit, especially when the TV is first turned on. I was also disappointed that the RCA connection was removed, so I had to buy special adapters for my Wii and other old school game systems.

I can not say enough about how bright the picture is in standard mode. It is perfect for my family room which gets full sunlight during the day. Dolby ATMOS is awesome and the wide viewing angle is needed for my room configuration. This is a good product.
