bought this new in late 2017 and thankfully got the geek squad warranty. the ice machine in the fridge area is a bad idea that needs to stop. it constantly freezes over and then you break the tray pulling it out and have to buy a heatgun to get it working. bestbuy finally took it back after at least 8 repair attempts. only get the ice maker if its in the freezer section.

we have had this refrigerator for 1 year, 8 months and 12 days. it still runs, but does not cool. after talking to customer service at samsung, they are denying all warranty, as they do not have a technician in my region to come verify the problem. since they cannot confirm that the refrigerator is not working, they refuse to issue a refund, due to them not being able to verify the issue with a technician. if you sell your product with a warranty, you should have a way to actually uphold it.

ice maker started having issues after a year. they replaced the ice maker and control board. 30 days later the compressor would not shut off. called all around to get a tech out since the authorized repair center can't get out for a week. repair person diagnosed the issue to be the compressor and they do not replace them only authorized. compressor is under warranty but getting someone out to replace it is next to impossible. i can buy another one for 3300$....

as said before by many other consumers, the ice maker ruins a really nice refrigerator. we have had our refrigerator for 4 years and 3 of them have been filled with ice maker issues that require a couple hours a week trying to defrost the ice maker. we have replaced the icemaker twice and have tried many fixes with no reprieve it never fails, when we have family and friends over, the ice maker freezes up and stops making ice it is so bad we had a family member buy us a counter top ice maker so we wouldnt have to deal with the refrigerator ice maker. we have hobbled along with this refrigerator because it was so expensive and we splurged to get this refrigerator so sad samsung is not doing much to remedy the situation for so many of its customers.

bought in 2018, the compressor failed. called and opened ticket with samsung, the techinican arrived after 5 days. all the food spoiled. the technician recommended that there has been a leak in the system, which is hard to fix and that samsung would replace the refrigerator. he made a call and recommendation to samsung, but was told that he should try replacing the compressor first as per samsung policy, so he did. the refrigerator was working, lasted a week and the second compressor failed too. opened another tocket with samsung ince they closed the first case. today is the 5th day and still no call to setup schedule. wasted another $300 worth of food.

we have only had this refrigerator for a few years started having problems a while back where the temp on the door didnt match the thermometers i put in the freezer or fridge sections... yesterday i shut it off to give it a really good cleaning and now it wont cool at all. we spent alot of money on this appliance for it to fail this soon. wont be buying anymore samsung appliances

i spent a crap ton of money.... i mean a lot for this fridge. my wife specifically asked for it, this very model. not even 2 years. had this installed june 22 2019. new in box. professional install. 19 months later... no ice. water line is fine. water pressure is fine. water from the door is fine. no blockages around auger. reset... twice. 48 hours 12 cubes. lets see, for about $3000 over 19 months that is a $157 a month before it was useless... seriously people. i thought the 10 year tag on the front indicated reliability.

i never write reviews but i am really very disappointed with this refrigerator. i bought this refrigerator 3 years ago and i couldn't be be happier. two years later, the ice maker started to freeze very bad and it didn't work for my birthday party. i had to run to buy ice to the store. it has been a month and half that the compressor failed and it doesn't work anymore. i had to pay $150 for service and i am still waiting for my refund. i have been without a refrigerator for almost a month. i like the new refrigerator with the front screen door but i really do not trust samsung any more.

WORST purchase we've ever made. Ice maker doesn't work. Control panel doesn't work. Freezer slowly started getting warmer and warmer and we couldn't fix it and finally it's warmer than the top refrigerator. Thawed all of our frozen food and ruined all of my sons breastmilk. I would love nothing more than to be able to throw it directly in the garbage. I would've been better off buying a cheap fridge with zero sPeCiAL fEaTuReS. You will too. Stay as far away from this garbage as possible and save your money.

at first, i was hesitant to buy based on comments i had seen about ice maker problems but can say we have been extremely happy with this refrigerator since purchasing it 8 months ago. the ice maker works great and always maintains an adequate supply and has not caused any problems for us.
we have two young children and the flex zone is perfect for keeping all of their food and drinks where they can reach them. i do wish the freezer and flex zone had the ability to replace the drawers with shelves, but it has not been a problem thus far.

do not buy samsung frdiges!!! i bought this fridge less than 2 years ago and by the first year came the ice maker plague came. just like thousands of others, the ice maker will eventually not work properly. mine ices over and stops producing ice. and yes it has been serviced from the store i bought it at.
i loved this fridge. but when you dont have full function of all the properites none of it matters. also, my flex zone stopped freezing. now not only do i not have an ice maker that works properly, i only have half the freezer space.
do not waste your money!

After less than 90 days the ice maker went out on this brand new refrigerator. It constantly freezes up and quits working. I had the entire ice maker replaced, but was told it would go out again; that there is a know problem with this refrigerator and the ice maker. Sure enough, it went out again... after the warranty expired. I am now forced to either go without ice, or take a hair dryer and weekly thaw out the ice maker. It's really disappointing that Samsung would make a product with an industry known defect and not come up with a recall and stand behind their products and customers. If this is how they make products, I am done with Samsung

I have had this refrigerator for a year and it was been problem-free. The four doors and flex is well designed for ever-changing needs and efficiency. Easy to clean, well lit, and versatile with the duo doors at the top. They can hold large casseroles and allows for the cooling of plates of appetizers. The stainless steel hides fingerprints and easy to clean. One limitation is a need for a larger ice machine and storage. The ice however comes out clean and clear. The filter notification and change of the filter is a plus and easily done.

I purchased my Samsung 4 door refrigerator in Sept 2017. Lots of space, great features and appearance. Its also quiet and efficient.
However, during the last 6 months, I've had to defrost the icemaker at least once a month due to ice freezing, preventing the icemaker from making ice. Defrosting takes a couple hours most of the time with no instruction on how to put the icemaker into defrost mode. A search on YouTube was helpful with this part. This seems to be a common issue with Samsungs. A Google search
for your model might be beneficial.
Overall, I'll deal with it, we still like the refrigerator.

short version: fridge has been broken (no cooling or freezing) for over 6 weeks now, with no end in site to repairs, have had a tech work on it every week for last 4 weeks and they still have no clue what is wrong with. warranty service has been a nightmare and handled very poorly, customer support has been even worse. i after first repair company said fridge was unrepairable after 3 vists, samsung switched me to an new repair company. i am now over 6 weeks without a fridge and have no send it in site when this will be fixed. do not buy

Love the design and space provided. Wish It had more drawers or space for vegetables and cold cuts. Run short on Ice for events with more than 6 people. Have to plan to store extra ice when I have an event like Xmas or Thanksgiving. Love drawers in freezer and have more than enough room compared to other models.

3 month old refrigerator suddenly quit working, lost entire contents. Warranty claim started 5 weeks ago, first service attempt had the wrong parts still waiting on parts service is due in next week. Ice maker quit working early on. Now bottom freezer and fridge at 72 degrees and top at 40. Not helpful and very expensive to fix getting new fridge after 3 yrs. those customers that take complaint to local media getting refund from Samsung-ret of us nothing. Own Samsun washer and dryer that both needed repairs during warranty. No more Samsun appliances...just tv.

I was surprised when I saw this fridge in my kitchen. It looks modern and fits perfectly in the interior design. It blends nicely with my dark cabinets and white/gray granite. My only complaint is the handles easily show fingerprints. We just have to wipe them down frequently. I do like that the handles are built into the door and don't stick out. It gives it a really nice finish.
The flex portion of the fridge is perfect. We decided to keep snacks and food for the kids to be able to easily grab in there. They love having their own "mini-fridge." It did cut down our freezer space. I now have half of what I used to have but I'm hoping it means we eat food faster. The inside of the fridge is great because you can "design" it to fit your food in various ways. The shelves on the door can be moved to fit different size items, as well as the shelves within the fridge can slide back and forth to make room for larger items.
My absolute favorite thing about the fridge is the giant tablet/Samsung Home Hub on the front. I am still finding new things each time I access it. I love that my Google calendar can be synced to the fridge and I can see everything we have going on for the week as I am looking in the fridge and trying to meal plan. I also like the culinary inspiration that pops up to give me new ideas for dinner. I am still learning how to set up my shopping lists based on that inspiration and what I have in my fridge. The fridge manager allows me to put dates of expiration and reminds me when it is about to expire. It also lets me look into my fridge while at the grocery store - perfect for me as I forget to look if we have certain items before I leave the house! I do wish it was easier to upload photos in order to customize the screen saver and home page a little more. But this is me being very picky!

every 3 to 4 months we have to defrost the ice maker because the motor stops working. ice builds up on the bottom of the ice tray making it shut down. very frustrating. it's been doing this since we purchase it nearly 4 years ago.

The current 4-door Flex refrigerator is a replacement for the original 4-door Flex refrigerator, which had repeated issues with the ice maker failing. After 11 months, Samsung provided a total refrigerator replacement. Fortunately, the current refrigerator has only had one correctable issue with the ice maker in the 10 months of ownership. Regardless, the ice maker is very loud. Other than that, we like the features and styling.

this fridge is absolutely gorgeous, however since i have owned this unit i have had nothing but problems with the ice maker. it will freeze over and not produce ice. i have defrosted this numerous times with the same outcome a month later. i will not recommend this until they fix this issue. stay clear from this fridge, or if you want it, i will make you a deal on one.!!

Ice maker failed right after the warranty expiration. I have a expensive and very annoying process to get the ice maker replaced. It is a bad design that allows air infiltration into the ice maker.
