Extremely disappointed, poor quality

let me begin by saying that all my appliances are samsung. but i no longer have confidence in their appliances. i currently have a non functional washer model wf45k6200aw/a2. with only 5 to 6 years, it no longer powers on. this is not the first issue that i've had with their appliances, a few month back our dryers wheel bearing gave out and had to be replaced, prior to that our refrigerator stopped cooling, due to clogged rear coils. i've had nothing but issues with these poorly designed and cheap quality appliances. it appears that these appliances have a shelf life that last up to a few short years after the warranty is no longer available.

this unit failed in less than 2 years. samsung should be ashamed at both their craftsmanship and customer service. both really failed hard in this case. the unit door locked and the unit powered down and refused to power back on no matter what i tried. after spending a week going back and forth with customer service, no tech ever called, emailed nor showed up. meanwhile family laundry piled up and caused a stress storm.

i bought this washer machine september 2018, thought i was doing myself a favor and going the expensive route. in under 2 years it now is leaking (july 2020) from the bottom and apparently the warranty is only for 1 year. how a $1,000 appliance can stop working so soon and not be covered by the manufacturer is beyond comprehension. i will never buy another samsung product ever, and i will make sure to leave a 1 star rating on every website that sells this product.

our 3rd samsung in 5 years has finally crapped out after being on its last leg for 9 months. our first samsung control panel went bad in 3 days and was replaced. second samsung washer, the entire drum (concrete and all) broken apart during a wash, this time we bought another one as it was out of warranty after 2 years (i know, i make terrible decisions about buying another samsung). third samsung add a wash leaked (after a year and out of warranty again), purchased whirlpool washer as replacement and samsung sat in garage until we moved (1 year later). more review in pics.

i have this washer for less than 3 years and couldn't be more disappointed and unhappy with this product. the add wash door is simply falling apart. the chrome part of the door is leaving a dust of metal and stain everywhere. i have to constantly clean the floor and pray that the clothes don't come out stained or with particles of metal. a mother's nightmare. i called the support number hoping to find a replacement door and all they offered was for someone to come here for $300 to take a look?! i couldn't get a straight answer if they even have such a replacement. very unhappy and will never buy another samsung appliance.

we've got all major appliance as samsung products. this is the first appliance (washer) that out the door was basically out of warranty. fyi - samsung warranty is based off the manufactured date. you can buy a new washer and could be out of warranty day one :( . my washer was manufactured oct 2018 and i had it installed jan 2019. feb of 2020 the washer completely failed and i called and chatted with samsung reps. all of them saying i was out of warranty and i had to use their local authorized repair service. that is a joke as well. just for them to visit was $400 and the part from my understanding ran over $200 + whatever the repair was going to cost. let's just say last time we buy a samsung appliance. love the phones and that is it.

machine works great. be careful of pieces from the wash sticking in the filter basket at the bottom, they can keep it from closing securely when you put the filter back in, that will result in a leak.

Have had the washer for a couple of days and it works great. Only issue I have is not being able to connect to my phone or smart things app. Turns out the general info does not specify that you actually need the Samsung Smart Home Adaptor, which I do not have and now need to go out and purchase separately. All the spec states is a wireless network and Samsung Smart Things App, which is not correct. Since the product page does not state what is needed to actually use this feature figured I would add it here so hopefully anyone that might purchase in the future would know what is needed. Did contact Samsung about the mistake, have not received a response back yet.

We bought this washing machine and dryer combination for our first home and didnt have any issues up until, of course, the manufacturers warranty expired. We had someone come out that wasnt from Samsung, since we didnt want to waste any more money on Samsung or any of its products, and this gentleman tried to order the control panel we needed to replace. There was nothing we could have done to damage this control panel, it just randomly started taking hours and hours to wash a load of laundry. Manufacturing defect, likely. Anyways, its been a month and a half now, and the gentleman that was trying to order the new part from Samsung was notified that this part WAS ONLY BEING SHIPPED TO SAMSUNG MAINTENANCE TECHS BECAUSE IT'S ON BACKORDER. That indicates that this is a COMMON ISSUE and is undoubtedly the MANUFACTURER'S FAULT and theyre making customers pay for it. Come on, Samsung.

I have reached out to customer support and they have yet to respond back. Both of the units I have purchased have failed within two years time. I will never buy Samsung again.

I have been debating on whether on purchasing this new washer......Currently i have a Samsung WF455argswr/a2 (2013)...From day on, no issues.....except my wife did not like the fact that there was no water....hahahaha.....She was used to the top loader with huge agitator.....did not understand the technology.....during this time, her chief complaint was how the drum started to smell and the drum was vibrating......so i built two platforms out of 2 x 12's, with 3/4 plywood for the top and bottom....put nice 1/2' carpet on top of if.......these things weighed about 100 pounds each......this did not stop the vibration and Samsung said I needed their pedestals....spent $500 and used those...still have vibration......finally figured it out....Wife is hardly putting in any clothes!......that creates a small ball at the bottom of the drum and as it rotates, the ball goes to one side thus creating the unbalanced operation......we have now solved this issue....more clothes..... As far as the oder goes.......we had never used the "Pure Cycle"....we aways drained the tube and cleaned the filter.....but still had oder and mold smell......so today, I emptied the tube and cleaned filter again and ran the pure cycle.....it took 2hrs.....i saw horrible colored water, suds and debris......the debris was the soap and softener build up.....the liquid soap has animal fat and that cannot be dissolved......so now the machine is cleaned, and almost like new....we do not need to buy a new washer...... Here is what we learned: 1. use very little liquid soap........use powdered soap if you can get it....powered soap will not leave the build up material that causes dirt and mold to build up thus creating the oder because as it cannot digest animal fat 2. run the pure cycle or clean cycle at least once every 40 washes if a new machine....if older, run it every 2 months..... 3. make sure you run the machine more then 1/2 full or with 3/4 full loads....these machines are designed to run with 16-20 bath towels.....the more clothes you wash, the better it will clean because of the rubbing of the clothes and, when it spins you will not have the wicked vibration.....also, make sure the machine is level....... Hope this will answer some of the questions and help solve some of the issues people are having.......... Very respectfully submitted, OKU

The washer worked for about 10 months then slowly began to not fully drain until each load would come out soaking wet. The washer could never get up to speed in the spin cycle. It took half a dozen visits from a repair man to figure out it was the motherboard. Once they replaced that, it worked - for about two weeks. Now we are out of warranty and stuck with a machine that takes 2 hours to complete a cycle and doesn't spin the excess water out of the clothes.

My washer is just over 5 months old and I have had issues since day 1. Started with a terrible smell that would not go away no matter what I did. left the door open, self clean cycle, cleaner for washing machines...you name it we did it. Then it started leaking from the seal whenever I washed a normal sized load. Ridiculous. Would not recommend.

My previous washer broke and I did not want to purchase that brand again. I always had certain issues with that one. I have had no issues thus far with this washer. If my dryer breaks I will buy the matching one. The only thing I can complain about is the absence of a drum light.

I ordered my set to replace my old front loader. I am completely satisfied with the quality and how clean my laundry is compared to my old machine. I did know what I was missing until I used my washer for the first time. My only complaint is, since my unit is stacked, I'm too short to see the cycles on the dryer.

This washer so far is good enough to not return it to the store. There are 2 things I don't like with it. I'm a woman and it's 2018 . It's an issue if I need to move the machine to clean behind it because it is so heavy. Howcome Samsung didn't put wheels under it so that I can move it when needed. The other thing is it takes to long to wash a load . 45 minutes for a normal wash is to long. I'm worried about my electric bill. I was hoping for an energy efficient it would take less time to do the job like 15 minutes. The other features are great and it washes the clothes very well. It would be nice to add a selection for jeans

Spin cycle - vibration is so loud it is horrible sounds like it is going to take off

Machine was great when I first started using it a few months ago. Was nice a quiet could use if someone was sleeping in the house. Now if you use a cycle that uses the high spin or higher spin, it is so loud that you could hear it blocks away. Entire room shakes the vibration is so loud. The machine is level and I've been trying to submit a repair on this website for it not to work.

Good so far, useless extra door

I have had it for less than a year, but I do like it. The only thing I didn't realize before buying though was that you have to wait for the washer to stop before you can open the door, so it's just as easy to just throw it in the big door. The extra door feature hasn't made it that much easier. Also, even though I leave the door open after every wash, mold collects in the extra door for some reason.

Super Front Loader!

I had an older Samsung front loader, so when it finally died after 10 year (more than that in laundry loads) I found this model. The Steam feature is Fantastic! Laundry comes out smelling like it came from the cleaners and it's super clean! I was also able to reuse the pedestal from the old one. Just got the Smart USB for the machine and it's a nice feature.... you need to download the "Smart Home" app. the other washer apps don't work. This machine is also is quieter than the older one.

Our washing machine repair guy recommended the front loading Samsung. He said, "Ignore all the drama with their top loaders- the front loaders are great." So we listened. So far, so good. We have had the washer about a week and have had no issues with it, as expected. The true test will come with the passing of time. It's louder than I expected, but it doesn't make me dislike it. I love how clean everything is and the effectiveness of the spin cycle. I had thought my dryer was dying, but it turned out that my old machine simply wasn't spinning the clothes out effectively.

First impression A plus. Has everything I wanted at a reasonable price point and good reviews. The salesmen even recommended it before he knew this was the one I wanted to look at. Used it a month and still impressed with it. Its quiet, clothes come out clean and fresh. Rarely use fabric softener, all the soap is rinsed away so clothes come out of the dryer naturally soft. My daughter has allergies to dust and pet dander which the Allergen cycle has really helped. The Steam feature has been well worth it. The control panel is user friendly and easy to navigate. The various cycles make it a breeze to select the best settings for a particular load. I really could go on and on so I'll just sum it up " Impressive".

My review will be more complete after the family takes the time to learn how to obtain the best results out of this new work horse. Beautiful design -I'm very glad to have the pedestal option added to my selection. After doing a couple of first washes I know this machine is very efficient at doing good work with less water.
